Allied World offers valuable loss control services and risk management information to its lawyers professional liability (LPL) policyholders. The goal of our program is to support a firm's organizational risk management efforts by developing risk management strategies that evolve to meet everyday professional challenges. Many of these services are available to our insured lawyers at no additional charge. Below is a brief synopsis of these services.

Risk Management Web Site and CLE Programs
A fundamental component of any risk management program is building awareness through information and education. Allied World partners with the law firm of Hinshaw and Culbertson, LLP to provide an interactive web site that contains a wealth of information, practice support tools, and legal malpractice prevention articles. Additionally, up to three hours of online CLE is available to Allied World insureds.

Email Alerts and Newsletters
The Lawyers' Lawyer Newsletter is published by Hinshaw approximately six times per year. It contains reports of recent developments in a format which identifies the risk management issue presented; describes the new case or opinion; and explains the risk management implications and lessons of the case or opinion. This newsletter is sent by email to each of Allied World's LPL insureds. In addition, email "Client Alerts" will be sent regularly which notify policyholders of recent decisions involving issues pertaining to practice management, legal ethics, and professional liability.

Risk Management Hotline
Allied World's confidential risk management hotline provides our insureds with direct and immediate access to risk management information when the need arises. Consultation on issues concerning loss prevention, ethics or professional responsibility, and pre-claim concerns is provided by one of Hinshaw's senior risk management lawyers. Consultation is provided at no charge.

Risk Management/Loss Control Audits
Allied World offers access to firms that perform law firm risk management/loss control audits. Policyholders receive details on these firms and a rate schedule from each firm for available services.
