Darwin : Managed Care Risk Management

There are valuable risk management services available to Darwin managed care policyholders. The goal of our program is to support organizational risk management efforts by providing customized risk management strategies that evolve to meet everyday challenges. These services are available to our policyholders as “value-added”—no additional charge. Below is a description of these services.

Educational Resources
A fundamental component of any risk management program is building awareness through education. Darwin and Crowell & Moring, LLP, have joined forces to provide current information and cutting edge risk management services to our managed care policyholders. Our goal is to provide support and resources to ensure the success of existing risk management efforts. The program includes:

An emailed “tip of the week,” packed with current industry happenings and
practical tips related to managed care organizations.

In-depth analysis of emerging issues, legal, and regulatory changes, and recent managed care case decisions, delivered to you in our bi-monthly electronic newsletter.

A “best practices” book, addressing all aspects of managed care; designed to reduce the risk of operational errors and omissions. Two chapters are published annually. It is updated on an ongoing basis to stay current with contemporary risk management issues.

Crowell & Moring, LLP, is a Washington, D.C.-based law firm which specializes in providing a full range of legal services to health care clients nationwide. Their attorneys are leaders in the field of managed care law and are relied upon for their expertise in regulatory and compliance matters.

Policyholders automatically begin receiving the above electronic resources and a copy of the best practices book will also be mailed.
